Mike grew up in South St. Louis near Tilles Park. He went to St. Joan of Arc and DuBourg. After high school he started college at MIZZOU, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. After a couple of years in Columbia though, he moved back to St. Louis after his Dad had a stroke. He finished his degree at UMSL, majoring in Mass Communication, with an emphasis in Radio and T.V. Broadcasting. Whilst in college he worked first at KMOV Channel 4, then at FOX 2 (KTVI) in the Sports Departments.
After graduating he worked in Radio at 93.7KSD, starting off as an intern in Programming and Marketing. In just 7 months he worked his way up to Assistant Program Director. The Dream Job! But the pay just wasn’t enough, so he broke into Insurance. He started out with National General Insurance Company in 1999.
Mike joined Charles Meyer Insurance Agency in April 2018. Now living in South County, he enjoys going to concerts (has seen U2 over 20 times) and following sports. Although he worked for the St. Louis Cardinals for 10 Seasons as an usher, his favorite sport is actually The Beautiful Game: Soccer! He follows Bayern Munich and Liverpool and is very excited that St. Louis is finally getting an MLS Team!
